Assisted Dressing with Dementia / Alzheimer’s
Alzheimer’s is the most common cause of dementia. Dementia is a general term for loss of memory, language, problem-solving and other thinking abilities that are severe enough to interfere with daily life. It can cause considerable difficulties with dressing.
Alzheimer’s and dementia can make it difficult for individuals to get dressed by themselves, as well as being difficult for carers to dress a person with the condition. Adaptive clothing can help make this less stressful. Our range of unique garments include velcro/magnetic shirts, front fastening bras, large openings and elasticated waists all which help the process of getting clothes on and off. It also includes open back nightwear and discreet back opening daywear for easy/fast toileting. Our All in One pyjamas are designed for those who have a tendency to disrobe. Many of our products are available with VAT relief so do check if you are eligible.
