Fire Retardant Smoker’s Apron

Made from high-quality Proban® treated cotton, the apron is manufactured from fire-retardant fabric tested to ISO 11611:2015, Paragraph 6.7 and EN ISO 11612:2015, Paragraph 6.3. The fabric is designed to resist flaring and melting, providing protection against brief contact with dropped cigarettes or matches. It is the same type of fire-retardant fabric used in protective clothing for the North Sea oil industry.

The apron extends up towards the throat, helping to prevent dropped items from falling between the apron and the wearer. Around the lap, an innovative wired upstand creates a raised edge that helps catch cigarettes and matches, preventing them from rolling away. The upstand is adjustable, helping to keep dropped items within easy reach so they can be removed quickly.

Important Safety Information

This apron is fire retardant, not fireproof. A lit cigarette or match should never be left on the fabric for more than a few seconds and should be removed immediately. Prolonged contact with a lit cigarette or match will damage the fabric. The apron must never be deliberately tested by pressing a lit cigarette against it.
