Smoker’s Fire Retardant Apron – Suitable for Wheelchair and Non-Wheelchair Users
Crafted from premium Proban® treated cotton fabric, this apron meets rigorous EU Fire Retardancy standards—it’s the same fire retardant fabric used in clothing worn on North Sea oil rigs!
This apron is made from high-quality Proban® treated cotton, tested to meet EU standards ISO 11611:2015:PARA. 6.7 and EN ISO 11612:2015:PARA. 6.3. The fabric is designed to resist flaring or melting, providing protection against dropped lights. If a lit cigarette or match falls onto the apron, it should not be allowed to rest for more than a few seconds, which is usually enough time to remove it without causing damage.
The apron reaches up to throat level, effectively preventing dropped lights from falling between the apron and the wearer. Its innovative wired upstand surrounds the lap area, catching dropped cigarettes or matches to prevent them from rolling away. This adjustable feature ensures that any dropped items are within arm’s reach for quick retrieval before any damage occurs.
Please note that allowing a lit match or cigarette to remain on the apron for an extended period will damage the fabric, as will intentionally pressing a lit cigarette against it for testing.
